Portable power stations are a foundational mobile power source that we love to review because they have so many different techy applications. I use them for things like charging various electronics, powering RVs and van conversions, and as an emergency backup when the lights go out.
One power station that has emerged as a favorite during testing over the past year is the Bluetti Elite 200 V2—currently on sale at Amazon for an incredible 47 percent off, knocking the price from $1700 to a rock bottom $900. We think that’s an absolute steal for one of the best portable power stations out there.
Earlier this year, we named the Bluetti Elite 200 V2 “Best Mid-sized” in our roundup of the best portable power stations, as we were impressed by its size to capacity ratio and all around outstanding performance.
As we explained in our roundup, the Bluetti Elite 200 V2’s 2,073Wh capacity is substantial considering its petite size and weight. At the same time, its 2,600 running/3,900 peak output is more than enough to power high draw tools and equipment. It also has several port options for the average user.
During our tests, it simultaneously powered a miter saw, blender, and space heater, It "easily handled the spike to 4,000 watts to start up the saw, above its listed 3,900 rated lift power, before maintaining an even flow of around 2,500 watts," according to writer and tester Tony Carrick.
Carrick was also impressed with the quality of the power station's battery. "We recorded an impressive 92 percent of its listed 2,073.6-Wh capacity, well over the 85 percent average for most portable power stations."
More recently, I explained why the power station has become an essential part of my outdoor cooking setup (alongside the Weber Lumin Electric Grill) due to its compact, easily rechargeable features that make it perfect for camping usage.
For all these reasons and more, I’ve found that it's perfect for small-to-medium portable power needs. It fits nicely in a trunk or camper conversion and at 53 pounds it's easy to carry. Plus, the capacity is plenty whether I’m cooking up dinner with my electric grill, or just need a convenient power source. Plug in a good set of solar panels, and you’re all ready for on-the-go power (sun allowing, of course).
So it should come as no surprise that we’re recommending this current deal on the Bluetti Elite 200 V2 at Amazon. Slashing the price just shy of half is an incredible deal, especially when you consider that the lifespan is expected to be upwards of 15 years. That’s an unbeatable bargain for a lot of portable power.
